Aromatherapy can be incredibly supportive, not only to the patient, but to the loved ones during this difficult time. During a session in a hospice or home facility setting, our goal is to bring peace and comfort to the patient as they prepare for the transition beyond this life. It can be a stressful and scary time. People can become afraid, confused or agitated as the time of passing draws nearer.
Aromatherapy can help to ease the mind and relieve anxiety of a hospice patient, making their remaining time a more peaceful and relaxing one. It can also help the loved ones who are also sad and grieving and often scared themselves. These are all stressful and exhausting emotions that can wear down a person and weaken the immune system.
Aromatherapy in a hospice setting is of course, about the patient, but about the loved ones as well.
At this time there is no set fee for Aromatherapy hospice services. I am offering this as a "service by donation" Pay what you can. Why am I doing this? In memory of My Grandmother who we lost to Pancreatic Cancer on Mother's Day 2015. A vibrant woman who lit up a room when she walked in. When she became a great-grandmother she asked everyone to call her TOKI (Swedish for crazy according to her Swedish father).
